Republican contest for journalists "Education in the New Reality"

NIS holds a national contest for journalists specializing in educational topics once every three years.

The purpose of the competition is informational support of Kazakhstan school in the new reality: global trends in modern education; integration of the best domestic traditions and international experience; translation of professional achievements of specific teachers and teams in secondary education of the country; transformation of the mission of the teacher in the digital age and the age of artificial intelligence; successful cooperation between school and family, creating a safe and child-friendly environment.

Aida Balayeva - Minister of Information and Social Development;
Bauyrzhan Omarov - Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences;
Darkhan Kydyrali - Chairman of the Board of the joint-stock company "Egemen Qazaqstan" Republican Newspaper;
Timur Aslanov - editor-in-chief of "Press Service" magazine, chairman of the jury of the international contest "Press Service of the Year (Russian Federation);
Mira Alipinova - head of press-service of "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" autonomous educational organization.

Journalists from regional, republican and foreign newspapers, web-sites, portals, radio and TV companies, information agencies, as well as freelance journalists may participate in the contest.

In 2021, analytical materials published or broadcast in Kazakhstani and foreign media are accepted for the contest from June 1, 2018 to June 1, 2021.
The first stage - receipt of materials (from May 25 to June 15, 2021)
Second stage - summarizing the results (June 15-20, 2021)
The third stage - awarding the winners (June, 20-28, 2021)
Ten winners and ten laureates in different nominations will be named at the end of the contest.

In honor of the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh scientist and educator Ibrai Altynsarin a special nomination "Shamshyrak" will be established.
All winners and laureates will be awarded diplomas, valuable prizes, souvenirs with the symbols of the competition.

Terms of the contest:
Materials of different genres - articles, essays, analytical reviews, interviews (volume of printed materials shall not exceed 12 000 characters) will be accepted for the contest. Materials are accepted in Kazakh, Russian and English languages.
Materials published or broadcast in regional, national or international media should be submitted to the contest. Authors of printed materials should provide originals and screenshots of articles (with the name of the publication, publication date), of Internet publications - screenshots and links (with the name of the media, publication date), of radio and television materials - on electronic media, as well as screenshots and links (with the media name, publication date).
Publications submitted for the contest are not subject to review and will not be returned.

Contest materials are accepted until June 15, 2021, 18.00 (Nur-Sultan time).
