2016 AEM Regional Conference

Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Astana shares the experience at the Regional Conference in Africa, Europe, the Middle East.

From 6 to 8 October 2016 was held in 2016 AEM Regional Conference, organized by the International Baccalaureate Organization in Africa, Europe and the Middle East (IBAEM) at the Barcelona International Convention Centre (Spain).

The international high-level conference was attended by over 1000 participants from more than 70 countries. Our country was represented by the MYP coordinator Raina Zhaparova, who spoken on the theme: "Community projects as a tool for creative, social and emotional inquiry". In her session she offered to discuss and analyze both the benefits and challenges that usually encountered at work.

Each year, the International Baccalaureate® (IB) hosts a regional conference in Africa, Europe, Middle East. The conference brings together educational leaders, decision makers and practitioners from schools, universities and governments, to focus on international education. Conference identifies best practices for the ways we educate students, giving practitioners the opportunity to exchange valuable ideas on international education. 

The Intellectual School of Astana was represented by teacher - MYP coordinator Raina Zhaparova, Vice-principal for Academic Affairs Borlykbaeva Raikhan, a teacher of chemistry and Theory of Knowledge Dinara Beisembayeva. They had the opportunity to share their experiences with IB teachers from all over the world.
