Day of Sports and Physical activities

At the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Astana was held the traditional Sport Day.

During the school day at recess children went out to the yard, where there waited  by all kinds of sports stations.

Teachers from Physical Education department tried to do their best, and organized for them an event full of fun and entertainment which includes lot of sport exercises. For students there were prepared basketball, volleyball, parkour playgrounds, football field, tennis court, ping pong and also special places for fitness training, cycling, athletics and tug of war.

The main event of the day was NISA Race charity run, which was held this year for the first time. The event was organized by students of grade 12 in the framework of the CAS (creativity, activity, service) project, with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle among the members of the school community.

In the Sport race was attended by teachers, tutors and students from grades 7-12. The first runner, who ran 7 laps (in total 6 km) and came at the finish line before all was Alikhan Talipbayev, student of the grade 9. The second place went to the Math teacher Gaziz Azhmoldyaev, and the third, who crossed the finish line, was the student of grade 10 Alexandr Gorlenko.

Formation of a healthy lifestyle, abidance of safety rules by employees and students - is an important element Intellectual school, which working on the program of the International Baccalaureate. In this regard, every Friday was officially declared as a Day of Sports and Physical activities.
